Beeje Mines, Owner
Beeje Mines has a BS in Dance from Radford University and a MS in Recreational Therapy from VCU/MCV. She has been dancing for 40 years and been teaching for more than 25 years. She has been afforded the opportunity, with her husband’s career demands for travel , to dance, teach and choreograph, all over the world. She has choreographed full Ballets, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and numerous original productions of her own, some of these include “Days of Future Past”, “The Story of Creation” and “Noah’s Ark.” She has choreographed numerous productions in many church and local theatre productions, some in Fayetteville include Methodist University, Northwood Temple Church, Parks Chapel Baptist Church, St Andrews Methodist Church , and at Cape Fear Regional Theatre. She instructs dance for pageant contestants. She has coached the Dance Team and has taught in Northwood Temple Academy High School as a Lyrical Praise Teacher for two years. She has performed and choreographed in Giselle, Nutcracker , Copellia and many other major productions in Europe and in two Dance Companies in the United States, Radford University Dance Theatre in Radford Virginia and HSSD in San Antonio, TX Beeje Mines combines her experience and unique skills as a dancer, teacher, coach, choreographer and therapist to provide a unique and professional dance experience for any dancer in Angelic Arts School of Dance.
RULES:
Girls/Women:
Leotard and tights must be worn; a dance skirt is optional. Baggy sweats and T-shirts are not allowed in any class. Some classes will require ballet, tap, foot undez and/or jazz shoes (see instructor for specific requirements).
Hair is to be put up before class and stay secured through class. If a ponytail is worn and the tip can touch the face, it must be placed in a bun. There will be no hanging or large earrings, necklaces, or bracelets worn in class. No chewing gum in class. All dancers are required to bring a water bottle to all classes. This requirement is for everyone’s health and safety.
Upon arrival, dancers are expected to ready themselves for class in a timely manner and begin to stretch QUIETLY on the dance floor. Please respect fellow dancers already in class when doing so. Also, please respect fellow classmates by being early and ready to start on time. Parents and students if you are in the classroom while instruction is going on and not dancing, PLEASE KEEP YOUR VOICES LOW SO STUDENTS CAN HEAR THE INSTRUCTOR. Students in class are not permitted to talk during class unless it is instruction related. For some of our dancers, tuition is a sacrifice which makes dancing a very valuable privilege please respect this sacrifice by following the rules.
Boys/Men:
All requirements are the same except for attire. T-shirts and sweats are appropriate for a co-ed Christian environment. No short shorts, muscle-cut T-shirts, or tank tops, please.
BODY PIERCINGS (except stud earrings) AND BODY TATTOOS ON STUDENTS MUST NOT BE VISIBLE TO OTHERS’ EYES. The focus is more on dance and less on fashion!!!
